In
1993, Givens Estates received dual accreditation from the Continuing
Care Accreditation Commission (CCAC), sponsored by the American Association
of Homes and Services for the Aging (AAHSA), and from the EAGLE Program
(Educational Assessment Guidelines Leading toward Excellence), sponsored
by the United Methodist Association of Health and Welfare Ministries.
The accreditation processes are voluntary, exacting processes that
review whether a community meets established standards of excellence
in the areas of health and wellness, resident life and services, governance
and administration, financial resources, spiritual life and church
connection. In order to maintain accreditation, the process must be
repeated every five years. Accreditation provides consumers with a
standard of comparison for evaluating different Continuing Care Retirement
Communities (CCRC’s). In 1998, we received reaccredidation from
both EAGLE and CCAC and we are currently in the process of completing
our 2003 reaccredidation.
In keeping with our vision, Givens Estates is constantly changing
and adapting to serve the needs of our present and future residents.
Our Mission Statement, Core Values and Health
& Wellness Philosophy continue to provide the foundation for
all daily operations, resulting in the highest quality resident services,
care and support.
