As part of our ongoing effort to improve the quality of life for residents, Givens Estates welcomes financial support for various programs and campus facilities. Its a great way to help seniors in Asheville. A number of giving opportunities are available that help strengthen our ministry to seniors.
There are several ways to contribute toward strengthening this ministry, including a Mother's Day Offering, Christmas "Gift of Care", Tribute Gifts, Joy Fund, and Staff Assistance Ministry.
A majority of interest earnings from our endowments are directed to the Resident Assistance Ministry, which helps our residents whose cost of living outweighs their income.
There are many ways to give to Givens Estates to support our residents needing financial assistance. One of those methods is through customized, or planned giving, which can provide the donor with tax favorable benefits. The benefits can include increased income, tax deductions, and partial or full bypass of potential capital gains on appreciated property.
Givens Estates is familiar with bequests, charitable remainder trusts, charitable gift annuities, gifts of real and personal property, life estates, life insurance, and for residents, residency agreement refunds. Information is available at GivensLegacy.org regarding Estates and Planned Giving for residents, friends, attorneys, CPAs, financial planners, CLUs, trust officers and other gift planning professionals.
This is a wonderful way to honor loved ones and special friends while leaving a legacy for others well into the future. Capital projects such as our Chapel and recent expansion include various opportunities for making gifts which may recognize a loved one, a donor, or a special friend. Funds may be directed to one project while the Naming Opportunity can be given to another area at Givens Estates.
Many employers sponsor matching gift programs and will match charitable contributions made by their employees. The impact of your gift may be doubled or possibly tripled! Some companies match gifts made by retirees and/or spouses.
