The primary purpose of this position is to coordinate salad prep production and setup and breakdown of salad bar for lunch and dinner service. Provide support for daily production of menus and functions and to ensure the highest quality of foodservice is provided for residents, visitors, and staff. This position requires culinary skills with a proven history of sanitation and food quality. Though desirable, this position does not require a candidate to hold a culinary degree, but must have been, as a minimum, graduated from an approved High School or received the equivalent with completing a program to receive a GED along with the appropriate level of Technical or Vocational Training. The Preferred candidate should be certified in Serve Safe, or comparable food safety/sanitation training.
Schedules for cooks include a morning shift from 6 am- 2:30 p.m. or the afternoon/evening shift from 11:15 am- 7:30 p.m.
