DESCRIPTION: This is a part time benefited position in the Givens Estates Wellness Department. This position will provide support and supervision to the pool area by checking and balancing pool chemicals, washing, folding, and stocking laundry, attending to the cleanliness of the pool and hot tub, maintaining the pool area, and providing supervision for pool activities. This position will support the Wellness Center facilities by participating in planning and implementation of Wellness Events. Additional purposes of this position are to improve levels of the emotional, intellectual, physical, social, spiritual, environmental and vocational dimensions of health experienced by Wellness Center members, as a result of wellness related knowledge acquired, attitudes changed, and behaviors modified in all seven dimensions of their lives. Other goals are to establish and/or reinforce health promotion influences, appropriate for all functional levels of Wellness Center members; to improve the quality of life of Wellness Center members by helping them develop and balance the seven dimensions of wellness in a healthy, life-enriching atmosphere; and, to assure that the highest degree of quality care can be provided to our residents at all times. This position will work 20 hour per week with a flexible schedule between the hours of 7:15 am and 6:00 p.m., with set hours on Saturday of 8:00 am to 12:00 p.m.
JOB REQUIREMENTS: The preferred candidate should have an interest in pursuing a career in fitness, wellness, or related field. The ideal candidate will hold or be willing to obtain certifications in some aspect of group exercise.
