The primary purpose of this position is to prepare food for residents, visitors, and other personnel. As the Line Cook, you are responsible and accountable to the Dining Service Director and the Executive Sous Chef as necessary for carrying out your assigned duties.
The Preferred candidate will be, at a minimum, graduated from an approved High School or have received the equivalent with completing a program to receive a GED. Additionally, Technical or Vocational training is desirable but not necessary. Prefer on-the-job three (3) months of supervised training. Two years’ experience in quantity food service desired. Serve Safe certification not required, but desirable.
Schedules for cooks include a morning shift from 6 am- 2:30 p.m. or the afternoon/evening shift from 11:15 am- 7:30 p.m.
